A Stratford woman has pleaded not guilty to child abuse charges after she's accused of intentionally putting her children through unnecessary medical tests.

Susan Moore, 32, is charged with two counts of child abuse intentionally causing harm, and one count of obtaining a controlled substance.

According to the criminal complaint, on January 15 Moore called an ambulance and said her 2-year-old child had suffered a seizure. The child was brought to St. Joesph's hospital and underwent numerous medical tests including a spinal tap. Doctors found no serious medical issues and the child was discharged. A week later, Moore reported the child had another seizure. The child was prescribed Diazepam, a medication often used to treat seizures and muscle spasms.

Two days later, Moore brought her 4-year-old child to the hospital stating that child had suffered two seizures. The child spent three days in the hospital and also underwent medical tests.

Moore insisted the child have a G.I. s cope camera be put down his throat using anesthesia. The child's doctor informed Moore it was an invasive procedure and she was hesitant to preform it.

An officer from the Marshfield Police Department met with Moore at the hospital where she admitted neither child had suffered a seizure and she was aware of the painful procedures she had put her children through.

Susan Moore is free on a $10,000 signature bond.

She'll return to court on July 5.
