HURLEY, Wis. -- The body of a missing man from Hurley has been found in his vehicle in an abandoned mine shaft filled with water.

Seventy-four-year-old Duane Jussila was reported missing July 5 and was last seen in Ironwood, Michigan. His vehicle was discovered Sunday in a former mine shaft known as "the caves" in Ironwood.

Hurley police say Jussila went through a barbed wire fence and landed in the shaft in about 10 feet of water.
