Minor Injuries After Crashes Involving Cows on Highway 29

Highway 29 west of Marathon has reopened after three people were injured in crashes involving cows.

Several cows were in the middle of westbound Highway 29 near Martin Lane shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.

Three people in two seperate collisions received minor injuries as a result of the crashes. No one was taken to the hospital.

Two cows are confirmed dead, while others in the road were secured.

The westbound lanes, closed for about an hour, have since reopened.
