Milladore Man Killed Following Train Accident

A 52-year-old Milladore man has died after being struck by a train in the overnight in Portage County.

According to a news release, the Train Conductor said the victim was laying between the tracks. The emergency brakes were activated but the victim was run over and died of his injuries.

Authorities say the victim, Richard Gathercoal suffered from dementia.

The accident happened near County Highway P and County Highway N, in the Town of Eau Pleine.
