The City of Merrill will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with two annual events this weekend.

Saturday evening starting at 5 pm, kids will get a glimpse at Santa as he makes his way through downtown during the Christmas Parade. The route begins on S. Genesee St. and ends by the Courthouse.

The O'Tannenbaum Tour, now in its sixth year, will take place at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, located at 903 East Second Street at North Mill Street in Merrill. The two-day raffle gives families the chance to win decorated trees, wreaths and themed gift baskets. Event organizer, Sue Kunkel says there are over 75 items to be raffled off.

The event will be held Dec. 1 from 10 am to 8 pm and again Dec. 2 from 10 am to 3 pm. Drawings will be held at 3:15 pm on Sunday.

The cost to attend is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12.

All proceeds will go towards Lincoln County 4-H and Community programs.
