A 21-year-old Merrill man has pleaded not guilty to possessing child pornography after special agents with the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), executed a search warrant at the man's home.
According to a press release, an on-scene forensic preview by a DCI analyst of a cell phone belonging to Jacob Torkelson uncovered numerous images consistent with child pornography.
Torkelson is free on $10,000 signature bond after posting the first $1,000 in cash.
He'll return to court March 27 for a clerical court appearance.
