A Fond du Lac manufacturer says it will add nearly 200 jobs by the end of the month.

Mercury Marine says new hires are needed as the company's 150-horse power four stroke motor is growing in popularity.

According to WLUK-TV, the jobs are varying skill levels including work in machining, diecast, assembly and some skilled trades. Jobs are expected to pay between $10.60 to $14.90 per hour.

Just a few years ago hundreds of jobs at the company seemed to be in jeopardy, but were saved as workers approved a package of wage and benefit cuts which prevented jobs from moving to Oklahoma.
