The Village President of Junction City, Peter Mallek tells NewsChannel 7 in an email that a special meeting will be held Thursday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m.
Mallek said the meeting will consist of discussion about Canadian National railroad operations in the Junction City area including but not limited to the blocking of public crossings.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend if you have an interest in this issue.
Due to the expected attendance this meeting will be held at the US Army Reserve Center, 201 Co Road G north. (just north of Kennedy Elementary School).
Public input on the issues is welcome and will be compiled.
Any documentation, photos, or correspondence related to CN railroad operations should be in writing and brought to the meeting or can be sent to Village of Junction City, PO Box 93, Junction City, WI 54443, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org , or faxed to 715-457-6131 so we may include it in the packet. Please mark it "Attn: CN Railroad Meeting".
Mallek said the goal is to discuss issues with the railroad and arrive at mutually beneficial solutions.
