FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- McNeilus Steel has broken ground on a $15 million coil processing facility in Fond du Lac.

The 96,000-square-foot expansion will allow steel coil to be delivered directly to the Fond du Lac plant by Canadian National railroad.

McNeilus Steel general manager Greg Head expects the plant will add 50 jobs in the next three to five years. He tells The Reporter the Fond du Lac expansion will allow the company to save on freight and stop processing the coils in Minnesota.

McNeilus Steel has facilities in Dodge Center, Minn., and Fargo, N.D.
