If you've already purchased Easter candy, you may want to check the pantry. Zachary Confections is recalling certain production lots of its Covered Marshmallow Eggs because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
The recalled product was manufactured in February 2013 and was sold in Wisconsin, along with Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
The company has not received any consumer illness complaints, but doesn't want to take any chances.
The recall involves 5-ounce Zachary Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Eggs packaged in white egg crates with purple, green and yellow lettering. The egg crates are marked with UPC 0 75186 15797 8 and best buy dates of Feb. 14, 2014.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should destroy or return it to the store where purchased.
