A 29-year-old Marshfield woman is facing child abuse charges after she's accused of biting her two young children.

Helen Mikes is charged with two counts of child abuse. She's free on a $2,500 signature.

An investigation began Dec. 20, 2013 after the woman's six-year-old child had bruising on his butt reportedly from spanking. The child told investigators that in addition to the spanking, his mother had also bit him.

Mike's other child, an eight-year-old was also interviewed. According to court documents, the boy had a large bruise on his bicep. According to the criminal complaint the boy said his mother had bit him there twice.

Mikes will return to court on April 11.
