MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- A Manitowoc man is jailed in an unusual hit-and-run crash.
Police say a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old man collided with a pedal tricycle driven by a 56-year-old man about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say tricyclist went partly through the windshield of the vehicle, but the driver did not stop. Instead, police say, the driver headed home, striking another vehicle along the way.
Police say the tricyclist pulled himself into the suspect's vehicle when it stopped at his home, and the suspect tried to lock him inside.
A witness followed the suspect to his home and called police, who arrested him.
The tricyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
The suspect, who suffered a significant cut on his hand, faces charges including OWI causing injury
