MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison man who was shot and killed at a party on the city's south side over the weekend has been identified as 25-year-old Darren J. Goodwan.

The Dane County medical examiner's office released his name in a statement late Sunday. Preliminary autopsy results say the death was homicide by gunfire, but the statement doesn't say where he was shot or how many times.

Goodwan was shot in the early morning hours Saturday. Madison police found him lying in the street with gunshot wounds, and a crowd of people at the scene. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Madison Police Lt. Amy Schwartz tells the Wisconsin State Journal no arrests had been made as of late Sunday.
