The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says a man was severely burned in a spray paint can explosion Tuesday afternoon.
The sheriff's department responded to a home on County Road D near Birnamwood around 4:15 p.m. for a man that suffered serious injuries.
Investigators say a juvenile male had punctured a spray paint can while the victim was holding an open flame near it. The spray paint can burst into flames causing 3rd degree burns to a large portion of his body.
