A man who jumped from an overpass in Weston is expected to undergo a mental health evaluation once he's treated and released from an area hospital.

Just after midnight Monday, Weston emergency crews were called to the Highway 29 interchange at County Road X for reports of a man who jumped from the overpass.

A patrolling officer noticed two vehicles on the overpass and when he went to investigate, one person jumped from the bridge to the highway below.

The man's condition is unknown.

Police Chief Wally Sparks said a motive remains unknown.
