Snowmobiler Found Dead in Langlade County

ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) -- Langlade County authorities are investigating the death of a snowmobiler in northeastern Wisconsin.

Deputies received a report around noon Saturday of a deceased man found near a snowmobile on private property near Otter Lake in the town of Elcho.

WLUK-TV reports the man has been identified as 55-year-old Robert Ottman, of Rhinelander.

A preliminary investigation shows Ottman apparently drove his snowmobile onto the private property in an attempt to gain access to Otter Lake, and his snowmobile became stuck.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

The Langlade County Sheriff's Office is requesting anyone with information regarding Mr. Ottman's whereabouts on the evening of Friday, March 15th to please call 715-627-6411.
