UPDATE: Man Arrested for Operating Under the Influence after Marathon County Crash

A lieutenant with the Marathon County Sheriff's office says the 31-year-old driver was arrested for operating under the influence after the crash.

A 31 year old man is recovering after a serious car crash Wednesday night in the Township of Plover.
A lieutenant with the Marathon County Sheriff's Department tells Newschannel 7 it happened a little after 11p.m. on the 4000 block of County Highway N in the Township of Plover.
They believe alcohol to be a factor.
Police say the man hit a tree, then his vehicle caught on fire.
The fire spread to the woods near by and was put out by the Birnamwood fire department.
The man was flown to Aspirus hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation.
