He pleaded not guilty to the charges in May.

The Tomahawk Police Department responded to a home on the 300 block of Pine Ridge Lane on March 27 for just after 11 p.m. for a 911 hang-up.

When officers arrived they were told the men inside were drunk, but overall fine. The responding officer noticed a handgun on the kitchen table and man with blood on his neck and t-shirt.

The alleged victim finally admitted to the officer the had been shot, but said it was a freak accident.

According to court documents all three men made inconsistent statements. It was later learned that Charles Lawn reportedly said “I'm going to ******* kill you”, before he fired the gun.

Lawn is behind bars on a $70,000 cash bond.
