The Wausau Police Department has named a person of interest in the disappearance of a woman missing since October 2010.

According to a news release, Kristopher Torgerson, 32, is behind bars in the Marathon County Jail on a probation hold. Police say Torgerson was an associate of Stephanie Low. Low was last seen October 10, 2010.

Court records do not show that charges have filed related to Low's disappearance. However, Togerson is due in court next month on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Torgerson was interviewed early on in the Low investigation. Police say new leads have lead investigators to believe Torgerson is a person of interest.

At this time police are releasing few details, as the investigation is still ongoing. If you have information regarding this case, you're asked to call the Wausau Police Department's Investigative Bureau at (715) 261-7883.

Low is a 23-year-old white female, 5'2'', 135-pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
