Man Airlifted Following Hay Bale Accident

One person is in serious condition at an area hospital after he was injured unloading a semi carrying hay bales that weight around 1,000 lbs.

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Club House Road and County Road N in Ringle.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says one of the bales fell off the semi and landed on the man, knocking him off his tractor. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

He's name is not being released, however authorities says he is in his 40s.
