A 20-year-old Connecticut man is expected to be charged Monday with 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, battery and disorderly conduct after investigators say he pursued a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.The battery charge reportedly stems from an altercation involving the girl’s grandfather.
Tyler Hand is behind bars on a $100,000 cash bond. Investigators say he met the girl online and took a bus from his home state to Friendship.
According to court documents the alleged victim, then 15-years-old, said she meet Tyler Hand, then 19, online playing the game ‘League of Legends’. The two then developed a plan for Hand to come to Wisconsin with the understanding he would live with the girl’s friends. The two reportedly met in person in Sept 2013.
In June, a statewide alert was issued for Hand and the girl after it was learned the two may be heading to Connecticut. Investigators said the girl, now 16-years-old, was last seen at home in the Township of Springville around 10 p.m. on June 13. Investigators the girl left the home with a large amount of cash.
Two weeks later, the girl was found by authorities in Connecticut.
