The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department and the Wood County Crime Stoppers asking for the public's assistance locating a man accused of draining the checking account of a elderly man, who has since died.
According to Police, a woman called authorities on May 16 to report numerous withdrawls from her father's account. Police say not only did the man physically obtain the man's debit card, he withdrew so much money the family was left with overdraft charges.
The suspect is accused of using the card at McDonald's, a liquor store, a casino and also making withdrawls from an ATM.
The only photo available of the suspect was taken from an ATM's surveillance video.
Authorities are aware the quality of the photo minimal, however they hope it will be enough for the suspect to be apprehended.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in this case. If you have any information, you're asked to call 1-877-325-7867. You can remain anonymous.
