Man Accused of Abusing Boy, 9 for Stealing Food
A 51-year-old man is expected in Lincoln County Court Monday on charges that abused a nine-year-old boy.
On Saturday, Lincoln County deputies investigated a case of suspected child abuse that had occurred the night before. A deputy discovered bruises on the child's back, face and backside.
The suspect was interview and did admit to striking the child for stealing food. The suspect is also facing drug charges as deputies discovered marijuana in his possession during the interview.
The suspect is the child's step-father, however names will not be released to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
