A 27-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man is in critical condition following an early morning motorcycle accident in Wood County.
According to a news release, dispatch received a call reporting the accident just after 2 a.m. on South Biron Drive in Biron. Investigators says the driver, Joel Mertens missed a curve and lost control.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department says alcohol is a factor in the crash.
