The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says alcohol may have been a factor in a serious crash early Friday morning.
Dispatch responded to a home on Trillium Lane west of Merrill around 3:23 a.m. for a woman reporting a man covered in blood was at her door.
Authorities say the 23-year-old man had been driving on Range Line Road, which is a dead end, and drove off a cliff causing his car to flip end over end. The man was able to free himself from the vehicle and walk to the house for help.
The man was transported by ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center and then to Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he is in stable condition in the ICU Unit.
