A 20-year-old Rib Lake man will spend 45 days in jail after entering into a deferred judgment prosecution agreement during a deal with prosecutors.

Cody Weinke was convicted of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, 4th degree sexual assault, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Friday in Taylor County Circuit Court, Weinke pleaded no contest to the amended charges.

Prosecutors said Weinke had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl's mother contacted the sheriff's department after finding text messages between her daughter and the man in May. The girl told authorities she told the man she was 16-years-old and the incident was consensual.

Weinke will also spend two years on probation.

A review hearing is expected to be set in the future.
