Lincoln Co. Sheriff's Office Reminds Drivers Not to Mud Run on Roads or State & County Land

The Lincoln County Rec Department is reminding men and women not to mud run on roads or state or county land.

A Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy was almost hit this past Friday. The deputy came across two mud covered trucks. One of which almost struck him as the truck rounded a corner too fast. The drivers denied mud running, but damage was found throughout the area and the group eventually admitted to causing it.

If you see vehicles causing damage on roadways you are asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office as soon as possible. Violators can face citations or criminal charges and can be held responsible for road repairs, which can cost thousands of dollars.
