There's no escaping the cold during the winter in Wisconsin - especially if hockey is your game of choice.
On Friday, about 100 kids hit the ice at Marathon Park for chance to skate next to some of the best players around. The Wausau West Boys' Hockey team hosted the free event in hopes of inspiring the next generation of hockey players.
Boys and girls ages 3 and up had a chance to skate with the high school athletes, eat dinner with them, and even get a few autographs.
