Thanks to Mrs. DeMuth's 3rd Grade Class for letting me hear their original fables. (Hatley Elementary)) -Amy Pflugshaupt WSAW
Third graders at Hatley Elementary School are putting their thinking caps on and teaching all of us a thing or two from some modern day fables.
It was part of their reading and writing curriculum the past few weeks. If you're not familiar or can't remember back to your elementary literature classes, a fable is a short tale that teaches a moral lesson. One of the most popular is the Tortoise and the Hare (you remember that one, right?)
The students in Mrs. DeMuth's class listened to some of the classic fables and then were challenged to use their creative minds to write their own.
Great Job Kiddos!!
