Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

The final leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics came through Wausau Thursday, June 5th.

The Flame of Hope traveled from Crandon, to Merrill, and finally ended up in Wausau to kick off the Special Olympic Summer Games in Wisconsin.

The torch lights the cauldron to commemorate the State Summer Games in Stevens Point. After the state summer games, over 60 athletes from the state of Wisconsin will go to compete in the national summer games held later this summer in New Jersey.
