With summer winding down, so are pool schedules for outdoor facilities in the area.
Sunday was the last day for the Aquatic Center in Weston, located in Kennedy Park, and pool supervisors said they were the busiest they've ever been all summer.
Pool supervisor Evan Miller said the 90-degree weather was one factor, and the other was that the nice weather came too late.
More than 1,000 people flooded the water slides and graced the grass and lawn chairs surrounding the pool.
Not only was it their busiest day of the year, but it was the most profitable.
Even though the warm weather plans to linger throughout the week, Miller said the Weston Aquatic Center won't be staying open with the warm weather.
He said because of students going back to school, staffing is a challenge, and it will not be open until next season.
