The Langlade County Humane Society says it will be able to remain open thanks to some generous donations.
The announcement comes after the cash strapped shelter almost had to close down due to a lack of funding.
In just one week the shelter has raised $9,400.
Much of that came from you, our generous Newschannel 7 viewers, who saw the story we ran on the shelter earlier this week and decided to donate.
It's something the shelter is very grateful for.
"We would just like to thank everybody in the community in Wausau, Antigo, and all of Langlade County how much we appreciate all the donations from $5 to $10 to $20." says Humane Society Director Bob Zoretich.
The shelter says they are also getting donations from a variety of local businesses who have announced sustaining donations of $1000 a year.
