GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Project managers say work on expanding Lambeau Field is on schedule and on budget.

The south end zone is shaping up with the major steel work done and most of the concrete poured. By next season, there will be 6,700 new seats.

So far, the team has spent about $75 million on the expansion. Team officials say 92 percent of that money has been spent in Wisconsin and 68 percent in northeastern Wisconsin.

Green Bay Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey tells WLUK-TV there's been a fair amount of interest for a new seat in the south end zone from current ticket holders. He says the process for determining who gets what seat has just begun. Popkey says they're separating requests by seniority, in terms of how long they've been season ticket holders and when they made their request.
