LIFE in Marathon County is a report done every two years presenting a wide range of data on Marathon County that reflects the quality of living in the county.
The data is broken into nearly 70 different indicators among six categories and ranges from Hunger, Low Birth Weight Babies, and Reading Comprehension to Unemployment. The report presents independent statistical data and a public opinion survey on important topics that affect the well-being of individuals and families in our community.
The LIFE community survey provides important data to the LIFE Report, data that isn’t available from another source. Questions are asked about health care, education, childcare, and transportation to name a few. The information collected is anonymous and will be used to help community leaders identify priorities for action.
The survey is scheduled to be mailed on March 18, 2013 to 4,000 randomly selected households in Marathon County. Each household will have the choice to complete the paper copy and mail it in or complete the survey on-line.
