Twelve year old Kolten Craft and his family are hoping to make a big difference this weekend, but they need your help to do that.
The Kolten Cares Golf Outing is happening Saturday out at Indianhead Golf Course in Mosinee. The event raises money for the Compassionate Care Fund at the Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital. The funds will help patients with food, transportation and medication needs.
Kolten told NewsChannel 7 in a live interview Tuesday morning, the event started when his mom mentioned there wasn't a lot of money in that fund and it made her sad. To help, he said he wanted to use his college fund, but his mom said that probably wasn't a good idea. So Kolten started the Kolten Cares Golf Outing. In its first three years, more than $16,000 has been raised. His goal this year? $10,000.
You can help him reach that goal. To get involved call Foundation Director Antonina Olszewski at 715-393-2604 to sign up. Registration is at 2 p.m. with a shotgun start at 3 p.m.
