One of the best things about summer is spending the day at the local ball park. And it's a great opportunity to do that this weekend in Marathon. The second annual Kickin' For Kids kickball tournament is taking place at Veterans Park. It's three days of fun and all proceeds benefit St. Mary's School.
"The kids really get involved in it," says David Phillips, a volunteer and kickball pitcher. "It's great; everybody's involved and everybody's invited to come."
Ten teams are participating this year. Organizers hope to have an even bigger turn-out next year.
