An officer at the Wausau Police Department says your home can have hidden dangers for kids. There are some simple things you'll want to take care of, before any children ring the bell.
"You want to have things well lit. For safety of the children you want to keep your yard free of obstructions that aren't really needed such as maybe a garden hose or something like that," said Officer Max LaPorte of the Wausau Police Department.
Extra lights not only help children see better, they also make would-be tricksters think twice before causing problems.
