LIMA, Wis. (AP) -- An 83-year-old Lima woman whose death is related to the heat had an underlying heart condition.

The coroner's office reported Friday that Margaret Jurgans died after she sustained a "heat-related injury." Her home was 95 degrees with no air circulating or an air conditioning. She also had a broken refrigerator.

According to the coroner, Jurgans died from an underlying heart condition that made her more susceptible to the effects of extreme hot weather.

The Janesville Gazette reports the coroner officials believe heat was a "major factor" in her death.

It's the third death in three weeks in which extreme heat was an "exacerbating factor."

Jurgans' elderly sister, who also lives at the residence, found Jurgans late Thursday morning and contacted emergency officials.
