Iola Native Austen Lane has been claimed off the waiver wire by the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday.

This comes a day after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday morning.

A 2010 5th round pick out of Murray State, Lane was injury plagued in his three seasons with the Jaguars.

The defensive end played in just 28 games over that span, 16 of those starts. He has registered 3 sacks, 66 tackles and 1 forced fumble in his career.

Lane and the Chiefs host the Packers in the final preseason game of the year on August 29th.
