The cold isn't stopping some brave souls from casting their poles in an ice fishing fundraiser in Mosinee. The first ever Support Our Veterans Ice Fishing Contest was held at Lake Du Bay. Money raised in the event will go toward Camp American Legion. Any fish caught will be donated to the Salvation Army.
"Everyone kind of came together and did what they could and donated what they could to make this day a successful event," says UWSP Veterans Club member David Herman. "We really appreciate what they've done for this event."
Contestants could use the entire lake to fish.
