We've got a lot of resources here in Central Wisconsin, and the Aging and Disability Resource Center is one of them.
ADRC Regional Supervisor Doug Below came to Sunrise 7.
Below said the ADRC's goal is to promote choice and independence through personalized education, advocacy, and access to services that prevent, delay and lessen the impacts of aging and disabilities in the lives of adults.
Some services the ADRC offers include: benefit specialists provide support and information to consumers regarding public and private benefits including Medicaid, Medicare, drug programs, supplemental insurance, SSI and other consumer problems.
The ADRC Nutrition Program serves healthy and balanced meals to individuals over the age of 60.
It also has Community Health Educators who offer fitness programs and educational classes to help you stay active and independent.
