Hungry Senior Citizens Need Your Help

Updated: Thu 8:07 AM, Oct 18, 2012

It's part food drive, part paper shredding event, and it's happening this Saturday, October 20th in Wausau.

Faith in Action of Marathon County is teaming up with the AARP to collect food for senior citizens in our area who can't afford to fill their cabinets.

You can bring any non-perishable food items on Saturday from 9am to noon to The Village Cooperative. That address is 1508 Merrill Avenue in Wausau.

If you can't make it out on Saturday though, you can still help out. You can drop off food through the end of November at the Faith in Action headquarters at 630 Adams Street between 9am and 3:30pm.

While you're dropping off food on Saturday, you can also get documents shredded for free.
