More than 600 people are expected to participate in the Walk MS event Saturday, April 26 at the Patriot Center in Rothschild.
Organizers have set a goal of raising $68,000. Funds raised will support direct services for the more than 10,000 children, women and men in Wisconsin diagnosed with MS and their families, as well as MS research to find a cure for this chronic disease of the central nervous system.

MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide. More than 10,000 children, women and men have been diagnosed in Wisconsin, believed to be one of the highest prevalence rates in the country.
Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis.
More than $1.3 million was raised through Walk MS events in Wisconsin last year.
