Home Depot says they plan to start filling more than 80,000 seasonal positions for what the company calls their “busy season”.

The jobs range from part-time to full-time and vary by market.

A recovery of the housing market is being credited for the increase in work staff. Rival Lowe’s says they'll also hire more workers than last year with plans to add 45,000 part-time seasonal jobs and 9,000 permanent ones.

Home Depot says it encourages technical school and college students, as well as retirees, to apply.

Home Depot has locations in Rhinelander, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.
