WATCH: Heat-Buckled Portion of Highway 29 Sends 2 Airborne

Two people in Chippewa County were taken to the hospital Monday, after they drove over a portion of Highway 29 that had buckled due to extreme heat.

The crash was recorded by a woman trying to take a photo of the damaged road. To watch the crash on YouTube click play on video player above.

Two people were inside the SUV as it became airborne, they were not seriously injured but were taken to the hospital due to neck and back pain.

The westbound lanes of Highway 29, west of County Highway T have now been repaired.
