Many believe Wausau's historic downtown area is haunted. That's why dozens of people gathered at the Marathon County Library to learn the truth about ghostly stories.

The Wausau paranormal research society spoke about the group's investigations into Wausau's haunted locations.

Paranormal investigator Robin Kurth says, "Some of the more famous places would be the Fillmor or the Rogers Cinema. We've done investigations there. That seems to be a pretty active spot. Grand Theatre is another."

The society hosts walking ghost tours in Downtown Wausau. They last about 90 minutes and groups visit over a dozen haunted locations.

This Saturday night will be the last tour for the year. Tickets cost $5 and tours begin at 6pm.
