A Weston family is without a home after it was quickly destroyed by a fire Wednesday. The fire was reported at 6:32pm.

The family with three children was able to escape the home, which is on the 5500 block of Isaiah St. The homeowner tells us the fire may have started because of children playing with matches, although the Fire Department is still investigating the cause.

More than 100 neighbors watched as firefighters tried to contain the blaze, which was already about 75% involved when they arrived on scene.

NewsChannel 7 had a staff member in the area, and arrived on scene several minutes before firefighters, and captured video as crews arrived. The family was already out safely.

The Salvation Army has been paged to offer assistance to the family.
