A memorial fundraiser held earlier this month has collected thousand of dollars for a search and rescue dog in Wood County.
The “Greg Lives On” event held August 11 and 12 in Kellner helped raise more than $13,000.
In January, Senn, 29, left a home in the Town of Grand Rapids. The Grand Rapids Police Chief says Senn told his friends that he was walking home, but they figured he would walk to his dad's house, which isn't far away. It would be last time he was seen alive. Senn's body was found nearly two months later in Lake Wazeecha. An autopsy show he died of hypothermia.
Earlier this month, Greg's father, Bill said there were raising money for a dog to help keep Greg's memory alive, but to also make sure another family doesn't have to go through what they did.
Tuesday night at the Wood County Courthouse, Senn's family will present Wood County Rescue with a check for $13,200 to help with care and maintenance of a search dog.
