It must be the season for motorcycle rides, because close to a hundred motorcyclists are driving across the state to help campaign for Gov. Scott Walker.
The 'Governor's Ride' started yesterday at 8 a.m. Since then they've traveled from Sheboygan, Green Bay, then up to Antigo and Rhinelander before stopping in Rothschild for a pig roast.
Walker says he's had a blast driving through our beautiful state and talking to people about his campaign. "I've been a Harley rider for years since the 100th anniversary," said Walker, "It's now 11 years later, and all these folks who rode with me throughout the years wanted to come here... And it's always good to be back in North Central Wisconsin."
The group hopped back on the road around 8:30 a.m. today, but not before a local decan did a blessing of the bikes. The governor says today's 350 mile trip will end in Madison, and next month they'll fire up the engines again across Western Wisconsin.
