MONROE, Wis. (AP) -- A giant camera that can produce photographs two stories tall will be on display in Green County.

The camera is 35 feet long and 12 feet tall and will be displayed outside the county courthouse in Monroe starting Sunday.

The man behind the camera is photographer Dennis Manarchy, who organized its building by engineers, designers and craftsman.

Although it's a replica of a vintage accordion-style camera, it does work. It's fitted with a super-sized lens valued at a $500,000 and can generate 16- by 24-foot prints. That's the equivalent height of a two-story building.

Organizers are calling it "World's Largest Camera."

It will be on display through Nov. 17. Manarchy is then taking the camera and a crew around the country for two years to document American culture.
